It is now possible for your applications to provide reset password functionality using an unique URL sent via SendGrid email service. User Details and encrypted passwords are stored in a user Account database table on the backend. A unique one-time token is generated and embedded as part of the Reset Password URL that can be emailed using SendGrid Email service. The generated unique token is only valid for one hour, after which time a new password reset request must be made. LANSA Developers will need to sign up for the third-party SendGrid email service and comply with their terms, conditions and payment requirements to make sure of their services – LANSA is NOT responsible for any charges incurred from the use of these third-party services.
Clicking the unique Reset Password URL in the email will direct the end user to a web page that validates the request using the unique token and allows them to reset and verify their new password.
